These are the ways in which Riot would like to see its members conduct themselves in a PVP environment:
- Killing random people is not only okay, but encouraged.
After killing this random person once, he should be left alone unless he attacks you first.
Harassing someone without a good reason is forbidden, and if caught doing it one could be demoted or removed from Riot. A good reason might be that he was harassing you, so you're returning the favor. This is sound reasoning in our eyes, though you should still try to be the bigger man and let it go after a few kills.
There is NEVER a good reason for spawn-camping (killing people at the resurrection point). You will be removed from the guild if you are found to be doing it, and you will be lucky not to be banned from the game as well. The behavior is against Age of Conan's Terms of Service.
Fairness need not be taken into consideration. If you are 20 levels above a player, and you feel like sinking your blade into his skull, please do it. It's a PVP server. They signed up for it. Same goes for a question of numbers. 3 to 1 is perfectly acceptable. As long as you follow all of the previous rules in the process, there is nothing wrong with these behaviors.
Riot should be known as a fierce group of skilled PVPers, and we encourage you to carry the guild tag as a symbol of your strength. The general philosophy you should have is to put other players in their place, but to leave them there once you've done it. After they've respawned, leave them be. As long as you're up by a kill, you've taught them a lesson. If they try to retaliate, put them down again. Once they've given up trying to take you, and you're not needlessly hunting them down, they'll have learned that Riot is a guild to fear, but a guild to respect.
